Just a short flight away, our neighbors Taipei, Bangkok, Tokyo and Singapore, among others, make the perfect weekend getaway – if travel restrictions allow – but if you’ve ever thought about what it might be like to live there, we’ll share the most exclusive ones with you Apartment houses that you can find in the best locations. So whether you are investing in real estate overseas or just want to take a look at some of the most expensive homes in Asia, here are six of the most exclusive apartment houses.
Hannam The Hill in Seoul is not only known as the most expensive apartment complex in South Korea, it is also home to several members of the superstar group BTS and is located in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the city.
The luxury apartment complex won the Seoul Architecture Award in 2013 with 600 units spread across 32 buildings, and the houses each have open plan living and dining areas, huge marble bathrooms and incredible views of downtown Seoul. Hannam The Hill is also home to a huge fitness complex, several community pools, and a golf facility for its high profile residents. It was widely reported that BTS paid 7.4 billion won ($ 6.53 million) in 2017, with the complex topping South Korea’s most expensive list as of 2015.
The Wallich Residence, Singapore’s highest residential complex, offers 181 luxury houses, consisting of units with one to four bedrooms and four penthouses, together with a super penthouse – known as “Bungalow in the sky” – on the 62nd and 64th floors of the building. Another exclusive residential complex that has drawn household names, billionaire James Dyson bought the super penthouse in 2019 for SG $ 74 million. However, Dyson reportedly sold the apartment in 2020 at a loss for SG $ 62 million.
The three-story, 21,108 m² super penthouse has five en-suite bedrooms as well as a dining room, living room, entertainment room and laundry room. In addition to a private pool, cabana, jacuzzi room and 600-bottle wine cellar, the apartment also offers uninterrupted views of Marina Bay and Sentosa Island. Residential amenities include a breathtaking infinity pool on level 39, a private library on level 52 and viewing platforms on level 62, as well as the hotel-inspired Wallich Concierge Service.

98 Wireless is located on Bangkok’s prestigious tree-lined boulevard, Wireless Road, and is the epitome of luxury living. Completed in 2016, the 25-story building has 77 two- and three-bedroom residential properties and penthouse units – with penthouses starting at 34 million baht (approx. 10.9 million US dollars).
Facilities include a large communal garden terrace, business lounge, tea room, outdoor pool, outdoor hot tub, fitness studio, spa and massage room, multi-purpose exercise room, children’s playroom and steam room, and residents up to to a dedicated butler service, chauffeured Bentley and an on-site concierge service from Quintessentially.
One of Tokyo’s most exclusive residential buildings is Park Court Akasaka Hinokicho Tower in the city’s Minato district. The 44-storey apartment tower, completed in 2018, has a total of 322 apartments, the residence also has a reception with concierge service, a fitness room, a roof terrace, a viewing lounge and a party room.
When the apartments were first sold, the one-bedroom apartments started at 155.6 million yen (about $ 1.2 million) with the 2,195-square-foot three-bedroom penthouse – which is owned by their private sky- Lounge offering a view of Mount Fuji – – Selling for 1.5 billion yen ($ 12.7 million).

India can host the world’s most expensive home – the private property of Mukesh Ambani, which is priced at over $ 1 billion – and it has a fair share of luxury apartment buildings too. Located on Mumbai’s upscale Carmichael Road, Carmichael Residences promises to be a serene oasis from the city’s energy that connects residents with lush vegetation that surrounds the property. The 21-story building has 28 residential units and offers uninterrupted views of the city and the sea, as well as an abundance of facilities for residents.
In December 2020, it was reported that a prominent Mumbai family had purchased two apartments in Carmichael Residences for Rs 101 crore (approximately $ 13.7 million). Previously, in July 2020, two more apartments were bought by one person on the same property for Rs 100 crore.
Estate Makati is a high-rise residential condominium in Manilla’s Makati City. The development offers 188 residential units, including two and three-room apartments, as well as multi-storey penthouse and super penthouse suites.
Although Estate Makati is slated to open in 2023 and is currently under construction, the luxury condominium has a coveted spot on Ayala Avenue in Makati City and – priced at $ 10,500 per square meter each – it’s currently the most expensive Presale project in Manila. All units promise residents an unobstructed view of the impressive Makati skyline, as well as facilities such as a pool, a wine lounge, a sky garden, and a fitness center for residents.
